Meguro/Tokyo Archery range information

30m 8 targets. From Meguro station (JR) 10 min. walk.

Located at Meguro Kinro Fukushi Kaikan building roof top.
You may go from Meguro station (JR) or Tokyu Bus Otori Jinjya bus stop.
Opens 0900-2100 except Monday. ( if Monday is public holiday, then shifted to the next day)

30m 8 targets and has a movable tripod targets which you may set up by yourself

【To get a license to shoot 】
To shoot there you need to have an approval certificate which will be issued by the range owner after shooting test.
The test is held almost everyday ( Monday the building is closed)
Tue-Fri :18:30-20:30
Sat, Sun and public holiday :13:00-15:00
Please ask for “Nintei Shiken” (Approval test)
To apply for the approval test, you must show that you are already a member of other archery association.　Please bring your bow and arrow.

This kind of approval test and membership is to avoid incidents during shooting. Especially, Meguro range once had a fatal accident there.

The fee is 100 JYE/ hour

They have also beginners class 3 times a year. Mainly for Meguro citizens or students and workers Meguro located.

【Beginner’s school】

Wednesday course and Sunday Course is available. Each course requires to be attended 5 times. First day session is compulsory to be attended. At the last day of the course, there will be an achievement test to know whether you can shoot safely at the range or not. If you pass that, you may get approval pass to Meguro range to shoot by yourself.
